Modelling

This was supposed to be a trial to work out what shape a prosthetic mask for Ganesh should look like. So I picked up a kids money-box head in the market and a load of play-do. Play-do is rubbish for modelling! Its like trying to work with cauliflower. Anyway, the model worked as a starting point from which to brief the prosthetic artists!

When it came to modelling the mouse, I got myself some proper clay. I haven't messed around with clay for years, so I was very happy with the result. But feedback was that it looked like an Egyptian cat, so I had another go (see below)

So this is the result of adjusting the nose... I think the mouse now looks like a cross between version one and my dog Zeezu... (see below)

Zeezu

My first attempts at photoshop and the characters from a series of childrens stories I'm writing

Akkurata's first monsoon... and my very first photoshop picture!

Akkurata is in trouble again...

Moshika's temple

Moshika (Ganesha's vahan) and Akkurata...

The city where everyone lives on top of each other (guess which one that is!)

Krawkus hates rain... (early colour ideas for Krawkus)

Akkurata the rat
Ghonga the snail

Billetta the cat...

Krawkus the crow...(I like this colour better)

The four friends: Ghonga, Krawkus, Akkurata and Billetta

Billetta goes to France... (experimenting with mixing live + toon for this project, I quite like the look it creates)

Watercolour on paper

Cat with amber eyes... watercolour on paper...
(this was done in about 40min as I remember, there was no live subject for this one it started with wanting to paint a pair of really cool amber coloured eyes and the cat kind of appeared all by itself)

Bugbrooke village church, Northamptonshire, UK... water colour & ink... a long time ago
(I sat in that church for hours, it was all quiet and peaceful, I was 16yrs and submitted this for my exams. Click to enlarge it tho, cos its done on A3 paper so the image isn't very good. Plus its just a photo of it)

The Salad-diet

He didn't know how to explain it, but at that moment he just knew the salad-diet was not going to work

The Monologue

After one drink Paul could only monologue...

The sound of his own voice was music to his ears

Rakhi Sawant's Swayamvar (NDTV)

Rakhi's Swayamvar
Rakhi wondered which one of these swayamvar-punks had the cash

Rakhi wondered whether her special swayamvar earrings were perhaps a little too big?

Though Rakhi found the swayamvar punk's joke very funny, she gripped her sari and tried not to laugh in case her botox cracked...

It took every swayamvar-princess muscle in her body to refuse the barcardi

After the shoot they found the missing hair'n'makeup assistant in Rakhi's bun

The Lecture

The professor felt that his lecture was going very well...

She tried to concentrate on the lecture but her duppata was distracting her
